The world is full of amazing creative talent. We’re here to help you find the gems

I love art. But like most people, I do not have an overview over all the artists out there, producing new amazing art every day. On Instagram and elsewhere, it can be difficult to navigate all the art content out there. That’s why Kreoz has made it our mission to make life easier for art lovers all over the world. Our curator Betty is always on the lookout for new inspiring work that is carefully curated for you. Here are six artists that have been added to the Kreoz collection this spring and summer and why we’re excited about them.

To learn more, check out the corresponding playlists in the Kreoz app, or pay a visit to our partners at Fousion gallery who represent four of the artists.

Julia Benz, born in 1988, is a German painter and mural artist. Benz studied painting in Düsseldorf and Berlin where she still lives and works. She has taken part in numerous urban muralism projects and collaborated with central figures of the street art movement. This has inspired her studio work to incorporate traces of urban canvas techniques and sensibilities. Her unique style of work has been exhibited in galleries affiliated to the urban art scene as well as in other contemporary art contexts. While many other artists aim to move towards modern painting from an urban art background, Benz departs in the opposite direction.

Kenor is a multidisciplinary artist who has already made a name for himself. His artwork develops geometrical abstractions, inspired by electronic music. His current sculptural work is an evolution of his first installations of street art, created in abandoned spaces, with residual materials. The artworks by Kenor are characterized by geometrical abstraction and vibrant colors. The dynamism and hectic rythm of tecno is translated into urban landscapes under Kenor’s moves.

Civit is an illustrator and videoartist from Barcelona, Spain. He works with various styles of illustration, from figurative to naïve styles. He is particularly influenced by sci-fi illustration from the 70-80s, which is reflected in his work. He also uses surrealism as the line of argument of his pieces, and combines classical painting and drawing with digital and 3d illustration.

Dunja is originally a comic artist. She later started experimenting with site specific art on the walls of the city, on abandoned buildings, and, most importantly, on and with other people’s graffiti. On other peoples work as well as on her own, she starts to parasitize. By adding layers and covering old ones she discovers a new image.

Ladislas is a French artist based In Barcelona. In his paintings, Ladislas has developed a rich surrealist world made of natural elements of all sorts: plants, animals, nature inspired shapes as well as humans. His work is caracterized by the explosion of colors, the sense of flowing movement, the profusion of details, and the life that seems to emanate from his imagery. We can feel a strong ecological dimension that is omnipresent through all his body of work. The connexion of humans with nature and the relationship between the two is at the core of the thematics he’s working on.

Mono Cieza was Born in Argentina and lives in Barcelona since 2001. Mono started his artistic career in cinema composing musing and creaing slow motion movies. He later started experimenting with other artforms, until he found his calling in sculpture where he has become a notable figure in the Pop Surrealism movement. His main topics are transcendence and self-surpassing. His mystical figures, animals, hybrid bodies, supernatural humans are reminiscent of old traditions and spiritual beliefs. The characters observe the world, protect maybe... or not. This results in shapes with such a delicacy that almost brings his sculptures to life!
