We:
EXIST
to bring art to everyday life, transforming the way it is accessed, shared, and enjoyed.
ASPIRE
to democratize art, giving emerging artists the ability to share their work with the world.
In 1947, the first transistor was invented.
In 1969, Intel started developing the first microprocessor. In that same year the first message was sent over ARPANET, the network that is known today as the Internet. The seeds of the digital revolution were set in place 50 years ago, but people back then couldn’t imagine those same seeds, 50 years later would completely transform the accessibility to media like movies, books, and music. These media forms are now at our fingertips at all times.
But, what has all this to do with Art?
Andy Warhol in 1985 created his first digital painting using a Commodore Amiga. Today, this digital transformation is picking up speed in the art world, with thousands of artists and students producing a significant volume of digitally created art.
The Digital Art Revolution has come!
In 2017 Erlend and Filippo,
art lovers, recently graduated from a top business school, decide to invest in developing an innovative way to access and enjoy art at home, allowing many talented, yet unknown, digital artists to share their unique style and artwork with the world: Kreoz was born!
We met at IE Business School in Madrid.
We embarked on our journey at IE with the dream of building our own company.
What started as a school project and a dream, is now becoming a reality….
ERLEND
KREOZ CO-FOUNDER
"My relationship with art started with visiting the Uffizi while travelling on Interrail in 2001. Seeing the great masters such as Botticelli was fantastic, but equally fascinating to me is experiencing the cool and thought-provoking work new artists are doing today."
FILIPPO
KREOZ CO-FOUNDER
"Contaminated by art since my childhood, I was born and raised in a microscopic village in the North of Italy, which in the early 80's became an Open Modern Art Gallery with hundreds of paintings and sculptures. There I started to feel the commitment to help local talented artists find their place in the art world"
Where Does the Name "KREOZ" Come From?
“Kreoz” comes from “Kreo”, word that in Esperanto means “Creation”…… and a couple of beers transformed into Kreoz, as it sounds better…we think…;)
